It's a Sewing Machine!

Here's a project we've been working on last week. If any readers are currently using a JUKI, I'd love to hear your comments about the machine.

I borrowed a friend's Juki TL98Q for 3 years for machine quilting and then she wanted it back! I loved it so much I bought my own and a long frame to put it on. For $1,000 this is a great machine. I never have any problems with it and it is so speedy ... the machine quilting is better than on my pricier Bernina. I love, love, love this machine ... if it wasn't so much of a pain to pull it on and off the frame, I would use it for all my piecing too.

I'm the same, Colleen. I keep it on the frame too. It's so sturdy and reliable! The speed gives me such a nice line of stitching. And the simplicity - only doing a straight stitch - means that it's easy to tension. Over here in the UK many people have never heard of JUKI. We're trying to change that.

It's so much more than 'just' a sewing machine! In my humble opinion anyway! I love mine, on the frame for machine quilting, the speed, the simplicity; and off the frame for piecing it's stitch quality is brilliant as is the quality of the machine and attachments.

Brenda from Stevenage, HERTS emailed this comment and asked me to post it for her: "I own a Juki TL 98 P sewing machine, I have never regretted purchasing this machine, it made others that I had purchased completely redundant, I have just finished a massivley peiced and quilted quilt, you can see the photos in my album, this is the most reliable fast and uncomplicated machine a sewer could own. It will sew anything from denim to silk, with most any threads, and the thing I most like about it is that it is so controllable, stitch by stitch or with speed, I am at the moment using it with my New English Quilter frame, wonderful....."
